1911 SPARTAN AIR PISTOL
The Air Venturi’s officially licensed .177-cal Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec .45 ACP pistol reproduction. This is an excellent full-metal, CO2-powered, semi-automatic BB gun that can send 18 shots downrange as fast as you can pull the trigger, managing velocities of up to 320 FPS. It’s powered by one 12-gram CO2 cartridge – housed in the drop-free, metal magazine – and gets about 65 shots per fill. It produces a realistic kick when discharged. And, once the last shot in the mag leaves the barrel, the slide locks back, just like a real-steel 1911. The .177-cal version weighs in at 2 lbs., giving it a heft almost identical to that of its firearm predecessor. The controls – from its single-action trigger and functioning grip safety, to its slide lock, thumb safety and magazine release – all feel and function like the powder-burner upon which it is based.
